Rethinking distributed consensus in heterogeneous cloud-native environments

This paper presents a novel framework for achieving fault-tolerant consensus across geographically distributed systems, addressing the fundamental limitations of existing Paxos and Raft variants under partial network partition conditions. Through empirical analysis across 12 cloud providers, we demonstrate a 37% reduction in convergence latency.
